2017 National MS Gala Luncheon

Drs. Margaret Pericak-Vance, Jeffery Vance, Jacob McCauley and Ashley Beecham, graduate student at the HIHG, attend the 34th Annual National MS Gala Luncheon for the National MS Society-South Florida Chapter on January 18, 2017. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society-South Florida Chapter holds one of the largest and most prestigious luncheons in South Florida, drawing over 1,000 guests from Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties every year. Over the past 30 years, the MS Gala Luncheon has raised more than $6.7 million to help the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) fund research, raise awareness, and provide programs and services for patients and families with MS.



Ashley Beecham Receives the Dr. Howard Zwibel Scholarship Award

Ashley Beecham receives the Dr. Howard Zwibel Scholarship Award. This award is presented to a student from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine who demonstrates interest and promise in the field of MS.



This year’s MS Hope Award Honoree was Karen Schneier Dresbach, President of the National MS Society-South Florida Chapter. The MS Hope Award – the organization’s highest volunteer award – was presented to Ms. Dresbach for her dedication and tireless efforts serving as president of the South Florida chapter of the NMSS for the past 17 years. The HIHG formally congratulates Karen Schneier Dresbach for receiving this great honor.
